‘Committed’ on Limerick Film Lab’s Co-production Slate
Randan’s feature film project Committed, written by Philip Wright and produced by Reece Cargan, was selected for the Limerick Film Lab’s Co-production Slate backed by Enterprise Ireland, Screen Scotland and Film in Limerick., launched today at Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Committed is a fearless comedy-drama that follows Jay Murphy – a charismatic but deeply troubled young man – as he rebels against his sectioning at a psychiatric facility.
The inaugural Limerick Film Lab was launched earlier this summer. Reece was one of the 18 producers from Ireland, Scotland, and Canada who have met in Limerick for a week of international collaboration, creative exchange, and industry development.
Organised by Innovate Limerick through Film in Limerick, the regional film office for the Mid-West of Ireland, the Lab was designed to support experienced producers and foster new co-production partnerships between three countries with strong storytelling traditions and dynamic screen sectors.
Today at EIFF, Reece will pitch Committed alongside other selected Scottish and Irish projects to secure co-production, financing and distribution partners.
