HEADRUSH selected for Young Horizons Industry
HEADRUSH, a TV series written by Philip Wright and produced by Randan’s Reece Cargan has been selected for an In Development Pitching Forum at Young Horizons Industry 2025.
Young Horizons Industry, taking place from 29th September to 1st October in Warsaw, Poland, is the international co-production forum focused on films and series aimed at kids and youth. The event is an industry part of the Young Horizons International Film Festival.
HEADRUSH is a fast-paced and hilariously honest YA comedy-drama that follows Finn, the loveable teenage train-wreck, as he balances a mental health diagnosis with falling in love for the first time…
Headrush tackles the core theme of ‘truth’ in an impactful and uniquely hopeful way. Through the journey of Finn - a young man desperate to maintain a flawless image by lying - Headrush shows how the pressure to appear perfect is both toxic and damaging. As Finn learns to embrace truth across the series, he discovers the power of being authentic to yourself. In an age dominated by the veneer of social media filters, Headrush is about bringing people together for honest conversations and meaningful connection in the real world.
HEADRUSH is one of 25 projects selected to pitch, chosen from 111 submissions from 56 countries. In Warsaw Reece and Philip will pitch the project in front of an audience full of buyers, broadcasters, sales agents and other industry professionals. Besides making meaningful connections they will also compete for several awards. This will be Reece’s second time pitching at Young Horizons as he has previously presented the winning pitch for Ghoul Friends with writer Catherine Wignall.
