‘Keith’ and ‘Prosopagnosia’ successes!

We are celebrating a string of successes for Keith and Prosopagnosia, both directed by Steven Fraser and produced by Reece Cargan.

The 2021 short film Prosopagnosia is finally out online on Vimeo and it has been selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Steven shares - “When I completed it, I was proud of what I had done, but had no idea that the film would be as successful as it has been, Even in 2025, I still get people asking about Prosopagnosia, and the recent Vimeo Staff Pick was another surprise.”

You can now watch Prosopagnosia under the link below:

Following the success of Prosopagnosia, Steven's latest short film Keith has been making waves on the festival circuit. Using animation to tell another deeply personal story, Keith has already won Best Animation at the Dublin Smartphone Film Festival in March and just today it was awarded Best Film at the Lived Perspectives Film Festival.

Keith will also have a strong presence in Scotland this autumn with screenings at:

  • Scottish Queer International Film Festival, Glasgow – 28 October & 1 November 2025

  • Edinburgh International Short Film Festival, Edinburgh – 15 November 2025

The film previously screened at the London Queer Fringe on 17 September.

In Keith - different forms of communication are explored when a filmmaker attempts to find the name of a dead person they discovered behind their flat in Glasgow

Still from Keith

In Steven’s words - “Keith is very different from Prosopagnosia, but it also uses animation to tell a personal story. I’m delighted to have made another short film that has connected with people.”

Currently taking a break from animation, Steven is already looking ahead. Earlier this year, they participated in the Queer Realities Directors Lab at the Sheffield Documentary Film Festival, where they developed a proposal for a feature film combining animation and live action. They plan to return to this ambitious project in 2026, after a well-earned pause.
Steven is definitely one to look out for!
